Man bought stolen bike
In Court
A TEENAGER who bought a bike from Facebook ‘suspecting’ it was stolen was fined at Worksop Magistrates’ Court.
Mark Burnage, 19, of Station Road, Walkeringham, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen goods at Whinney Moor Way in Retford on 5th July last year.
Prosecutor Ruth Snowdin said Burnage told police someone had offered him the bike on Facebook for £60 and he knew it was worth around £1,000.
Defence solicitor Ian Pridham said Burnage had the bike about five minutes before police arrived.
Burnage was fined £50 and ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £40 court costs.
