Maltby man dies in Tickhill crash

Police are appealing for information following a fatal crash in Tickhill in the early hours of Friday.
At 5.45am a silver Hyundai Trajet was travelling along the A60 Castle Gate towards Maltby and is believed to have left the road and mounted the pavement.
The Hyundai has then hit a shop, continued along the pavement and crashed into a bollard at the junction of St Mary’s Gate. The car then crossed St Mary’s Gate and stopped against another bollard.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 60-year-old man from Maltby, died.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or the moments leading up to it is urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident 125 of 3rd February 2012.
