M1 closed after crash

The M1 is closed southbound between junctions 30 and 31 following a crash this morning (Friday).

Police received reports of a multiple vehicle collision at 5am this morning.

There are not thought to be any serious injuries as this time.

Traffic has been redirected by officers, but the M1 remains closed between junctions 31 and 30 as attempts to recover the vehicles and clear the debris continue.
