MORE snow is expected to fall across the Gainsborough area today (Monday 14th January)

Light snow fell over the weekend, and now the Met Office are forecasting ‘heavy snow’ later on today in the afternoon and early evening.

A Met Office spokesman said: “There is a 90% probability of severe cold weather and icy conditions.”

“This weather could increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services.”

He added: “Please refer to the national Cold Weather Plan and your Trust’s emergency plan for appropriate preventive action.”
