Gainsborough news

the Chief Executive Designate of Public Health England will visit West Lindsey District Council (WLDC) on Friday to meet health chiefs from across the county.

Duncan Selbie’s day will include meeting with people from Gainsborough and West Lindsey that have been helped by local health and well-being services.

He will also have an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities faced by the council and our partner health authorities for the future.

Coun Malcolm Parish, chairman of the authority’s Prosperous Communities Committee, said: “We are delighted to host this important visit and will be taking the opportunity to explain the good work going on across the district and county of Lincolnshire to help improve everyone’s health.”

WLDC chief executive Manjeet Gill added: “It is an honour that one of the most influential figures in public health wants to see first hand how we are changing the lives of our residents for the better on a daily basis.”

“I am also delighted that many of our health partners have agreed to join us to demonstrate first hand to Duncan how we are collaborating to address the health needs of our citizens.”
