Flooding at Dunham Bridge near Gainsborough G121227-1b

The A57 Dunham Bridge has fully re-opened this morning (Friday 4th January).

The River Trent burst its banks over the festive period, flooding parts of Dunham-on-Trent and closing the toll bridge for more than a week.

After inspections and liaison with the Environment Agency and internal drainage board, Lincolnshire County Council highways department has removed debris and checked for any slippery mud layers.

Temporary lights which allowed traffic to use the road yesterday have now been removed.

The road is now fully open as usual.
