Notts Wildlife Trust offered families the chance to ‘go batty’ with an evening of bat-themed activities at its Idle Valley Nature Reserve.

The event offered the chance to learn more about bats, with bat detectors available for families to use, plus a range of children’s activities.

Speaking about the event, Wildlife Trust Communications manager Erin McDaid said: “Bats are fascinating creatures and often misunderstood, so this event at the Idle Valley is a great opportunity for families to learn more about them.”

“Bats are very much in the news at the moment – especially with a new Batman movie out, so we thought it would be nice to give people a chance to learn more about bats whilst having some fun – there was even bat shaped biscuits to enjoy.”
