A MEETING will be held in Worksop tomorrow (Tuesday 9th October) for people to hear more about planned changes at East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Everyone is welcome to attend at Worksop Town Hall, Queens Buildings, Potter Street, from 6pm.

It will be a chance to find out more about the Being The Best consultation, which proposes a number of changes to the service.

They include closing Worksop and Retford ambulance stations, and ambulances working from a ‘hub and spoke’ model in the future.

An EMAS spokesman said: “The review is happening to provide patients with the best service possible, by improving response times and ensuring the correct level of skilled clinician attends their call.”

“The proposals will also make the ambulance service more efficient and effective, both now and in the future.”
