Empty shop takeaway plan

LINCOLNSHIRE Co-operative Ltd has applied to West Lindsey District Council to create a hot food takeaway, near its premises in The Lindsey Centre.
The application requests a change of use for the empty Elite Workwear / Discount Shoes shop on the corner of Market Street and Heaton Street, Gainsborough.
Spokesman Emma Sneddon confirmed the society had sought to change the use of the shop from retail to hot food sales, but said they did not yet have a tenant.
“The location of the property, next to the town centre and adjacent to the taxi rank would lend itself to this use,” she said.
