Drink driver given ban

A POLISH man drove a Mercedes on the A1 near Markham Moor while over the drink drive limit.
Rajmund Narozniak, 38, admitted drink driving and driving on a provisional licence on 13th October.
Worksop Magistrates’ Court heard that police were called to the scene after receiving reports that a car had crashed into the nearside and central reservation barriers.
Defence solicitor Jamie Radcliffe said his client, of Beechfield Road, Doncaster, had had an argument with his partner and was on his way to visit a friend.
“He foolishly got into his vehicle when he had had too much to drink,” he added.
Narozniak was given a 22 month ban, which will be cut by 24 weeks if he completes a rehabilitation course, and ordered to pay £235.
