Dinnington Rugby Club pays tribute to ‘real gentleman’ Rob Hurdley

Dinnington Rugby Club had paid tribute to former player and ‘real gentleman’ Rob Hurdley, who died in an incident in a Maltby pub on Sunday night.
A statement on the club’s website reads : “It is with great sadness that DRUFC have to announce the death of club stalwart Rob Hurdley.”
“Rob has been a player, coach, sponsor and has always played a major role within the club.”
“Everyone associated with DRUFC would like to offer their condolences to Rob’s family and close friends. A real gentleman.”
Club captain Matt Starr paid tribute to Rob on the club’s Facebook page.
He said: “One of the kindest men I ever had the honour of knowing. Helped me through some tough times always there and never judged. Will miss you big man.”
