Dinnington man charged with child abduction bid

A DINNINGTON man has been charged with attempting to abduct a seven-year-old girl who was riding her bike on a Doncaster street.

Simon Goad, 46, of Riverside Court, appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on Friday and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.

He is also charged with possession of indecent images of children.

The alleged incident happened at 5.30pm on Friday 21st September on Mutual Road, Hexthorpe.

Det Insp Rich Partridge said: “We are still in the early stages of this investigation and I would urge anyone who believes they may have information regarding this incident, or any similar incident in Doncaster, particular the Hexthorpe area, or in South Yorkshire, to please come forward.”
