Cyclist in hospital after crash

A pedal cyclist has suffered a serious head injury in a collision on the A15.

Emergency services were called to the Bishops Norton turnoff of the A15 near Caenby Corner at 4.10pm yesterday (Friday) after a pedal cyclist was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Corsa.

The cyclist, a 45 year-old man from Corringham, suffered a head injury and he is currently in a serious but stable condition at Hull Royal Infirmary.

The driver of the Corsa, an 88 year-old man from London, was uninjured.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet come forward to contact them on 101, quoting the incident number or dial the Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855.
