Crime deputy is appointed

Tracey Cheetham has been endorsed and confirmed as the Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for South Yorkshire.
A Barnsley Borough Councillor and former constituency manager to Barnsley Central MP Dan Jarvis, she is acknowledged as having ‘exceptional leadership abilities’ and project management experience.
Mrs Cheetham said she was ‘delighted’ to have been appointed to the post to work alongside Commissioner Shaun Wright.
“It’s a new and challenging role and I am particularly pleased that the post offers me a great opportunity of being able to make a difference for the people of South Yorkshire,” she added.
