Guardian News

Guardian News

People in Bassetlaw are now able to find out if their partner has a violent past thanks to a 12-month pilot launched by Notts Police today (Monday 3rd September).

The Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme – or ‘Clare’s Law’ as it’s more commonly known – aims to prevent men and women from becoming victims of domestic violence and abuse.

Notts Police is one of four forces to pilot the scheme which allows the police to disclose information to people about their partner’s violent past.
