Charges after charity theft

A GAINSBOROUGH man has been charged with the theft of a Remembrance Day charity box.

Sean Peter Brooks, 33, has been charged with the theft of the charity box, which contained an unknown amount of cash.

Lincolnshire Police say that the box was stolen from a shop on Bridge Road, Gainsborough on Monday 12th November.

Brooks has been released on bail until 17th December when he must appear before Lincoln Magistrates’ Court.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
