Bramley man dies after jumping from M18 bridge

TRAGEDY struck when a Bramley man died after jumping from a motorway bridge on the M18 this morning (Saturday 29th December)

South Yorkshire Police say that they believe the man ‘jumped’ from the bridge at Junction One on the M18 at around 3.20am.

The 24-year-old Bramley man landed in lane two where he was struck by a Ford Fiesta being driven by a 29-year-old woman from Fillingworth, Newcastle.

The man sustained fatal injuries but the woman is reported to be unhurt.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who saw the man on the bridge to call them on 101 quoting incident number 180 of 29th December.
