Audiences glimpse new look theatre
Rotherham’s Civic Theatre showed off its new look to audiences for the first time this week.
Theatre-goers were welcomed back to the new look Civic on Tuesday, with Wickersley Musical Theatre Company’s version of the Sound of Music.
The re-fit has involved a range of work over two phases. The second phase is just being completed and has included new heating and ventilation, redecoration, refurbishment of the ladies toilets and new smoke detection safety equipment.
The new look theatre was given the official seal of approval with a visit from Mayor of Rotherham Coun Dave Pickering on Monday.
