Arrests made in cyclist robbery
THREE teenagers have been arrested in connection with a robbery near Rother Valley Country Park.
A 53-year-old cyclist was travelling along the Trans Pennine Trail when he was robbed at knife point, around 12.50pm on Tuesday 4th September.
Police said the arrested teenagers were all 16-years-old and from the Beighton and Westfield areas of Sheffield. They were arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Officers thanked the public for helping in the investigation. They urged anyone with information relating to the incident to contact them on 101, or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 472 of 4 September 2012.
