Appeal after woman and teen robbed in Worksop
Police
POLICE are appealing for information after two Worksop robberies.
In the first, on Sunday 9th December 2012, two men threatened a woman in her 40s on a footpath outside Asda supermarket in Memorial Avenue.
It happened at around 4pm. As she walked towards Farmfoods the two men, on bicycles, approached her. One pushed her up against a wall and snatched her handbag before they both rode away.
One suspect was white, of slim build and around 20 years old. He had shaved brown hair, a gaunt face and was wearing a dark-coloured, long-sleeved top, and blue jeans.
The second man was also white and was dressed in dark clothing. They were riding racing bikes, with curled handlebars and thin tyres.
In the second attack, a young man assaulted a 16-year-old girl in a bid to steal her mobile phone.
It was at around 4.30pm on Monday 17th December 2012 on the footpath outside Allens Cottages, between Eastgate and Kilton Road, in Worksop.
She was shoved by the man and punched to the body before he demanded her phone and money. She managed to push him away and he fled empty-handed.
The girl was unharmed but distressed by the attack.
The suspect was white, in his late teens, of slim build and around 5ft 9ins tall. He had short blond hair, prominent front teeth and was dressed in all black.
Witnesses or anyone with any information about either incident should contact Notts Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
