A BUNGALOW user group in Kiveton has received a welcome boost from the Co-op.

The Viking Way Centre applied for a grant from the Co-op Community Fund earlier this year and were recently awarded with £2,000.

Wendy Wood, treasurer at the centre, said the money is going to the Kiveton Bungalow User Group.

“It will help all the old people who live in the bungalows that come to the centre. We can put on dinners and take them out for day trips,” said Wendy.

“A very big thankyou to Co-op from the KBUG users.”

“We really appreciate it.”

“We were struggling with funding.”
