TWO great events and a gala have been organised to test endurance and raise money for Help For Heroes.

The Help for Heroes charity event, organised by Keith Richardson, will include a 30 mile kayak ride and sponsored walk on 26th August. Both will start at The Hop Pole in Retford and finish at Shireoaks Marina in Worksop between 12pm and 1.30pm.

The walk will take place along the same route of the towpath of the canal.

Not only that, but there will also be a special fundraising gala on the Shireoaks club field from 12pm, featuring fair rides, inflatable fun games, horse and cart rides, classic cars, tractors and much more.

As the evening sets in, there will also be a disco, karaoke and a raffle with great prizes up for grabs.

Keith said: “Bring the whole family along as all are welcome to both the day and night time events.”

“Please come along and give your support to the guys taking part and greet them at the finish line.”
