It’s hot off the press – a new design studio has opened its stylish doors in Sherburn and it aims to bring at least one more job to the village!.

Owners Marrieanne and Robert Pal opened their new design studio the Creative Shed last week, as a base for their company Paws Interactive Limited and websites printshopleeds.co.uk and kirako.co.uk.

Locals Robert and Marrieanne started in business in 2008 and ran their company from home, but with the addition of Daniel, aged two, and Sophie, who was born on Valentine’s Day this year they have made the move to a bigger work environment on Finkle Hill to allow the business to expand and take on additional staff.

Marrieanne said: “We’ve have spent the last three weeks renovating the building to modernise it and meet our needs, which working around current commitments and two very small children has proved very challenging.

“Robert has over 15 years experience in web design and creation and I have more than ten years marketing experience, so we can offer businesses a variety of advice and services in web, design, marketing and print.”

“We hope we will help bring something unique and useful to this busy and ever growing village.

“We currently employ locals on a freelance basis and hope to be able to offer a permanent job soon.”
