CELEBRATIONS are being planned to mark the 50th anniversary of Hillcrest Community Infant School in Gainsborough – but they need your help.

The school will be 50-years-old on Monday 12th September, and they’ve already bought the current pupils a new Viking play boat to celebrate.

Hillcrest are hoping to gather as many students, teachers and staff from across the years as possible to help mark their special anniversary in a truly memorable and fitting fashion.

“We’re having a party during the day for our current pupils, but we’d also like to hold a party for former pupils and staff in the evening of 12th September at about 6pm,” a spokesman from Hillcrest said.

“We will be having an exhibition of past photographs from our school over the last 50 years and we would absolutely love it is former pupils could come along and let us know who they are and what they have done with their lives.”

They contined: “A buffet will be provided but we just need to know if you will be attending.”

“Please let us know if you’re interested in coming along and we hope that as many of you as possible can be there to mark this special landmark occasion, share your memories from over the years and make this a party to remember!”

They added: “Hillcrest has made such a difference to hundreds of Gainsborough children and families throughout the years, and it would be wonderful to see you all.”

If you’re a former pupil of Hillcrest Community School and are interested in attending, then you call the school on 01427 613 483 between the 1st and 9th September, or in the meantime, you can email them at enquiries@hillcrest.lincs.sch.uk.
