Police seek hit and run driver

A MOTORIST is being sought by police following a collision in Retford in which a 21-year-old man was injured.

The incident happened at 11.45pm on Thursday 3rd May, in Wharf Road, near the junction with Carolgate.

The man was crossing the road with two friends when he was struck by a vehicle.

He was taken to Bassetlaw Hospital with a fractured ankle.

The motorist failed to stop following the collision.

The car is described as a silver Ford Mondeo, which may have front-end damage as a result of the collision.

PC David Insley said: “Were you in the area at the time of the collision? Did you see a car matching the description? Anyone with any information should call us.”

The motorist, or anyone with any information, is asked to contact Nottis Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
