Despite the appalling weather, 34 WI members and one visitor attended the February meeting. Guest speaker for the evening was George Buchanan of Hodsock Priory who gave a very interesting talk about this private home which regularly welcomes visitors for a variety of events on its 900 acres which incorporates farmland, woodland, gardens and parkland. Currently, the grounds are open to the public for the magnificent display of snowdrops and visitors come from all over England to enjoy the 80 varieties on show.
