Golf club raises charity cash

MISTERON golfers certainly got a hole in one after raising hundreds of pounds for a local hospital.

Misterton Golf Club’s annual presentation evening raised £315 for Bassetlaw Hospital’s Breastcare Unit.

The evening involved a race night, auction, and raffle.

Misterton Golf Club’s PGA Professional Marcus Bell was on hand to help proceedings.

Marcus is a highly qualified and respected coach who is experienced in coaching all abilities from beginners through to top county players and professionals.

A spokesman from Bassetlaw Hospital paid deep gratitude to everyone involved in making this generous donation.

“Thank you to Aaron Whittington, PGA professional golfer Marcus Bell and Wayne Howe owner of the Golf Club for organising the event and to all those who attended.”

Misterton Golf Club is open to the public on a ‘pay and play’ basis.

It is a nine-hole golf course and 10-bay driving range, with chipping and putting facilities and offers a relaxed atmosphere to golfers of all ages and abilities.
