This is your last chance to nominate your unsung heroes for the Gainsborough Standard Community Awards.

The deadline for this year’s nominations is Thursday 11th June so there is still time to send your nominations in.

Content Editor, Tim Paget, said: “There are many reasons to be proud of Gainsborough but the main one is the incredible people who live and work here to make it such a fantastic community.”

“I am incredibly proud to be involved with these awards as they recognise our area’s true heroes, the unsung people of courage and commitment who deserve recognition the most.”

There are a number of categories for you to nominate someone for an award, so why not honour someone you care about and put them forward for this year’s awards.

Categories include Most Improved Student, Best Headteacher of the Year, Best Teacher of the Year, Best Teaching Assistant of the Year, Child of Courage, Sporting Achievement, Fundraiser of the Year, Outstanding Bravery, Emergency Services, Community Spirit, Environmental Champion, Neighbour of the Year and Inspiring Personality of the Year.

To nominate someone for one of the awards, or if you wish to sponsor an award, email event manager, Haroldine Lockwood, at haroldine.lockwood@jpress.co.uk with your nomination, stating the award you wish to nominate for, along with your details, details of the nominee and your reasons for nominating.

Or post your nominations to Haroldine Lockwood, Events Manager, Unit 2a, Sherwood Oaks Business Park, Southwell Road West, Mansfield, Notts, NG18 4TB.

The Gainsborough Standard Community Awards will be presented to the winners on Thursday 25th June at Hemswell Cliff.
