Gainsborough man jailed for assault and beef theft
A Gainsborough man has been jailed after assaulting a man by beating him and stealing two joints of beef from Tesco.
William Andrews, 45, of Woodfield Road, pleaded guilty to the offences when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on January 6.
He was imprisoned for eight weeks and ordered to pay £50 in compensation.
