Bikeability is offering a free course at West Lindsey Leisure Centre in Gainsborough this summer for 11 to 16 year-olds to learn vital skills helping them to keep safe while cycling on the road.
Bikeability Level Three equips youngsters with the skills to deal with all types of road conditions and more challenging traffic situations.
These include dealing with hazards, assessing risks while on the move, planning safer routes for cycling, and being aware of driver blind spots.
Anyone wishing to take part should already have completed Bikeability Level Two training.
They will need a roadworthy bicycle and suitable cycle helmet and a parent or carer to accompany them at the beginning and end of each session.
The course last three hours and involves training on public roads. Session times will be 9am to 12noon or 1pm to 4pm.
The Gainsborough course is on August 17. To enrol, please email Bikeability@lincolnshire.gov.uk or phone Suzanne Walters on 01522 550593 to complete a booking form.
