CHARITABLE Worskop firefighters would like to say a huge thank you to all residents who came and showed their support at their fundraising car wash day.

The crew from Worksop fire station raised £270 for the Firefighters’ Charity - which aims to support firefighters and their families if they’re injured or killed.

“It’s a good cause that’s very close to our hearts,” said station manager Dick Dawson. “The car wash went excellently well. There was a good turn out of volunteer firefighters who’d come off duty and there was a steady flow of drivers coming along for a clean.”

He added: “We’d like to thank everyone for their generosity and donations in supporting this.”
