Entries are already starting to flood in from businesses for the second DN21 Awards which are being held in the town in June.

The awards opened for submissions on March 31, and already businesses are starting to submit their entries.

There are 10 awards in total up for grabs aimed at both the retail, commercial, hospitality and industry sector businesses within the DN21 postcode area.

Marshall’s Yard has joined forces with Trinity Football Club, after the success of last years first ever DN21 Awards event, to bring the business community in Gainsborough together to celebrate and reward the excellent retailers and services there are in the town.

Marshall’s Yard’s Centre Manager, Alison Hall, said: “There’s a buzz among the business community in Gainsborough at the moment and it’s great to see all the entries starting to come in.

“Its also encouraging to see some new business enter this years awards following positive feedback from last years event. There are some big names entering as well as some of the smaller businesses in the town showing off the full offer we have here, but we’re keen to receive more.

“The public are also now getting involved and since voting opened on our website www.dn21awards.co.uk more than 550 people have voted for their favourite retailer in town proving that the stores are really campaigning with their shoppers to get the votes in.”

The awards are free to enter and the presentation will be marked with an event at the Blue’s Club on the Thursday, June 2.
