COLOURFUL fun was enjoyed by all at Gainsborough’s Whites Wood Lane Junior School as they dressed in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
School business manager Rachel Ward said that they felt they had to do something for a cause that’s very close to their hearts.
“It’s a charity that we’re very committed to and we support every year because they do so much for so many families,” she said.
“It was an excellent day where all of the children came to school in pink. Everyone took part which is very rare.”
She continued: “We decorated the school in pink then at lunch, even the parents came in dressed in pink to eat a special pink menu with their children.”
“The food included pink pasta and pink sponge cake with pink custard - the whole day was very, very pink!”
Rachel added: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone for being so generous with their donations.”
