A unique makeover of a Victorian house and an ex-council car park in one of the most deprived areas in the district has scooped a top award.

The £1 million plus eco-town scheme in Cross Street, Gainsborough, won the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Committed to Sustainability category in the East Midlands awards.

It was also highly commended in the Committed to Collaborative Working Category, which recognised the passion showed by all partners to deliver the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 5 Scheme.
