Doncaster: Modernised Tickhill Post Office set to be relaunched

After undergoing two weeks of refurbishment, the doors of the modernised Post Office in Tickhill will be reopening this week for business.

The Doncaster-based store underwent the big modernisation as part of a major Government scheme to revamp Post Offices across the country and the launch of the Tickhill store will take place on 13th August at 1:00pm after initially closing at the start of the month.

The face lift has been completed to give its users a range of different services aimed to make the lives of customers and small businesses easier.

Lesley Frankland, the Area Manager, said: “We know how important Post Office services are to residents in Doncaster and we are confident that this vibrant modern Post Office at the heart of the community will be popular.

She added: “The modernisation is part of a major Government investment programme that is enabling us to continue investing in the Post Office network and to map out a bold growth strategy through to the end of the decade.”

The move is part of major modernisation programme across the Post Office network designed to make it easier for customers to do business, through longer opening hours and modern open plan environments.

Nationwide, the process will see up to 8,000 branches modernised.
