Determined Worksop mechanics branch out with their own business after employers cease trading

Lee Booth and Steve Barlow have launched B&B Mower and Power Tool Repairs at Carlton House Courtyard after the business they have a combined 16 years’ worth of service working for, Magna, went under.

Magna had been servicing and repairing mowers and power tools for Worksop residents for years, but the company was forced to close in February due to financial strain.

Lee said: “We decided to make a go of it.

“We feel that a high number of people would be happy to hear this is happening, as many have been impacted and saddened by the recent closure of Magna.

“Nobody wants to end up jobless, not knowing what’s going to come next.

“But Steve and I are determined to do well with our new business.

“I have rang a few building firms and they knew Magna had shut but had no idea where they were going to go for servicing and repairs.

“We have built up a trust in many people and thought it would be a shame for that to end.”

Lee added: “We shall continue to service and repair all types of gardening, building and power tools. I am STIHL trained.

“We are also registered PAT testers and are happy to provide this service too.
