Youngster hit by car in Maltby

A 12-YEAR-OLD boy has been injured by a car in Maltby.

Police are appealing for a female driver to come forward following the collision on Tickhill Road at around 7.30pm on 17th March.

The youngster from Maltby is believed to have ran into the road and was hit by the car.

He sustained slight injuries and had to have stitches to his right ear.

The driver of the vehicle stopped to check on the boy before leaving the scene.

South Yorkshire Police would like the woman involved to come forward and assist with enquiries.

They also want to hear from witnesess including the driver of a vehicle who is believed to have been following the vehicle involved shortly before the collision.
