Police are appealing for information after a man was arrested following a burglary in Gainsborough.

Gainsborough Police received a report of a dwelling burglary on St Andrews Court in the early hours of Friday 5th April, between 1am and 3.45am. A 35-year-old local man was arrested, questioned and bailed pending further enquiries until 4th June.

A Police spokesman said: “An offender forced a downstairs kitchen window in order to gain access whilst the occupants were in bed asleep. A search was made of the downstairs rooms and several items of value have been stolen including a set of car keys and Ford Focus car, a laptop and other electrical items.”

“Whilst this message is an appeal for any witnesses to come forward, it is also a reminder to all residents to be vigilant and try not to leave items of value on show or easily accessible to thieves.”

Witnesses can call 101 quoting incident 39 of 5/04/13.
