A SINGLE-MOTHER has been disqualified from driving after admitting being over the limit when her car veered off the road on her way back from Worksop.

Worksop Magistrates Court heard how Lisa Jane Taylor from Hirst Road in Retford, swerved to avoid something and when her car left the A620 and crashed into a hedgerow on the evening of 20th December 2011. The 36-year-old single mother of three who suffers from depression said she felt as if she had ‘let her children down’ as one of them often needs driving to hospital. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £200 and ordered to pay a £15 victim’s surcharge and £85 court costs.
