A GAINSBOROUGH man admitted to possessing drugs with the intent to supply, a court heard this week.

Shaun Thompson from Tower Street, Gainsborough, pleaded guilty to possessing 54.6 grams of methodrone with intent to supply and to possessing 8.54 grams of cocaine.

Lincoln Magistrates Court heard that Thompson had been facing ‘horrendous financial difficulties’ and hoped to resolve them by selling drugs.

District Judge Blacke told the 29-year-old: “You have had the courage to plead guilty and you have not tried to come up with a lot of nonsense with the police.”

Thompson was granted unconditional bail until he must return to Lincoln Crown Court for sentencing.
