Police are appealing for information after flowers were stolen from community planters in Hodthorpe.
The plants have been stolen from baskets and troughs in the Green Lane and Queen’s Road area over the past few months.
It is thought the most recent thefts happened sometime overnight between Thursday 19th September and Friday 20th September on Green Lane.
PCSO Kate Lee of the local Safer Neighbourhood policing team has been carrying out enquiries in the local area.
She said: “The flowers have been put up in the area by Hodthorpe Community Association to help make the village a pleasant place to live.”
“It is disappointing that someone has stolen these plants, which were there for the whole community to enjoy and I would ask anyone with information to contact us.”
Anyone with information should contact Derbyshire police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
