Bassetlaw murder verdict: CCTV footage shows killers before and after

Police have released CCTV footage showing victim Alan Easton and his killers on the day of his murder.

The footage shows Mr Easton visiting a job centre in Mexborough on 1st February, 2013, the day he was killed.

It then goes on to show Angela Dowling, Stephen Schofield and Matthew Duffy buying alcohol and gloves before Mr Easton’s death.

The gloves were later found at the murder scene.

After Duffy and Schofield killed Mr Easton and left his body in a makeshift grave in Everton, they were captured laughing and joking while buying alcohol.

The day after Mr Easton was killed, Dowling is caught on CCTV trading in her engagement ring and some of Mr Easton’s possessions.

Dowling, 48, of Windmill Avenue, Conisbrough and Matthew Duffy, 23, of Sussex Street, Balby have today (Monday) been found guilty of murder Mr Easton following a four week trial at Nottingham Crown Court.

Steven Schofield, 31, also of Windmill Avenue, Conisbrough previously admitted murdering Mr Easton.

Mark Bingham, 50, of Fishponds Road West, Sheffield was acquitted last week.
