HEROES who fought and died for their country will be honoured in a number of Remembrance Day services in Gainsborough.
Gainsborough’s main annual tribute will take place Sunday 11th November at All Saints’ Parish Church from 10.50am with the two minute silence at 11am.
There will then be a procession to the nearby War Memorial where there will be a short act of Remembrance including a further Two Minute Silence, and the laying of wreaths.
Remembrance will be continued that afternoon at Sturton-by-Stow.
Assembling in School Lane at 2.50pm, the Parish Council, The Royal British Legion and other ex-service organisations together with several local organisations and local residents will parade to the War Memorial for an outdoor Service of Remembrance and laying of wreaths.
