COMMUNITY: Centenary Tank Tour
Two Lincoln experts on the history of the first tanks will share the story in this 100th anniversary year. Richard Pullen, lecturer, military historian and author, whose grandfather worked on the first tanks at William Foster and Co in Lincoln during World War One, will be joined by filmmaker Andrew Blow, who discovered local film of the early tanks.
The Lincoln duo, commended by Bovington tank museum for their Birth of the Tanks DVD, will appear at Kirton at 7.30pm on Friday, April 22 in a Kirton in Lindsey society event.
