An Isle Church of England school has been endorsed as a good school following its first inspection by church authorities for five years.

Haxey Primary School received a clean bill of health with its pupils described by an inspector of the National Society of Anglican and Methodist Schools as having “positive attitudes” and becoming “confident learners who are encouraged to achieve their best within a supportive Christian environment.”

The school was also praised for its religious education that adds to pupils’ understanding of and respect for diverse faiths and cultures. And the contributions of both the church and the wider community to the school were seen to benefit pupils’ ‘spiritual, moral, social and cultural development’.
