Service to town and community was recognised at an official presentation within Crowle and Ealand Town Council’s July meeting.

The Doctor John Bruce Trophy was presented this year to John Briggs of Crowle, a former director of the Crowle and Ealand Regeneration Project Ltd for 10 years, with involvement within the scheme for 14 years. Mr Briggs was handed the trophy by town mayor, Coun Ron Stewart, who said: “This goes to a gentleman who takes a lot of pride in Crowle and works hard for the area. He doesn’t just talk the talk, he does the work as well.” Mr Briggs said: “I’m proud to win the trophy. Regen. always backed me 100 per cent.”
