Children at Holy Family Catholic Primary School in Worksop recently experienced a special learning day to promote STEM learning.
STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects.
A team of engineers from Rolls Royce visited the school, on Netherton Road, on Wednesday, January 13, to give the KS2 a taste of engineering, by turning the school hall into an “aviation paradise”.
School business manager, Caroline Matthews, said: “They were treated to practical tasks including building model engines from using cast aluminium models and learnt all about the role of an engineer and apprenticeship opportunities.
“It was a great day of learning and fingers crossed we have some budding engineers.”
