A TORKSEY business is going from strength to strength thanks to a county grant scheme - and celebrated its grand re-opening.

Torksey Post Office and Village Store has recently benefited from a Rural Gain Grant, awarded by Lincolnshire County Council.

The post office and store is owned by Janet and Richard Reaney. Thanks to the grant, they have been able to refurbish the existing small Post Office area and open a new shop facility.

Richard said: “Although Torksey Post Office must be one of the smallest in the network, we would like to make it a little jewel of a resource that pleases its customers and meets much more of their needs. The Rural Gain Grant has helped us to do that.”
