Get ready for a hilarious black comedy as the Lindrick Players take to the stage with their autumn production later this month.
Caramba’s Revenge is described as a highly entertaining and ingenious black comedy.
It follows the escapades of three pensioners living under one roof, just above the bread-line to ensure they can enjoy their one treat a year - a holiday to Cleethorpes.
The play takes place in the living room of Violet’s rented house.
Violet and her three friends Marge, Lottie and Doris, have formed a cooperative - they all live together and pool their pensions.
Despite their money saving lifestyle, they still struggle to make ends meet.
But everything changes when Violet dies.
Desperate to keep the house and extra pension income, the ladies dispose of the body and don’t say a word.
That is until Violet’s long lost grandaughter Ronnie comes to visit.
Doris, a hopeless alcoholic, eventually blabs when Ronnie takes her out drinking.
But will Ronnie go to the police? And what will happen to the co-operative?
All will be revealed from Wednesday 25th until Friday 27th September 2013 at Carlton-in-Lindrick Civic Centre, Long Lane, Carlton-in-Lindrick.
