WLDC to bring high speed wireless to local village halls
Coun Burt Keimach
West Lindsey District Council has also announced the appointment of firm Quickline to install wireless broadband into more than 30 village halls around the area - so rural areas can soon enjoy the same high-speed internet speed and quality as urban areas.
Leader of West Lindsey District Council Burt Keimach said: “We have listened to our communities and they are telling us poor internet connection is a big issue. Our priority is to support communities to help themselves and we feel this project is a great enabler to do this.”
Managing Director of Quickline Steve Jagger said: “Rural communities need not wait until 2015. Our service is available right now with access to internet speeds of up to 20Mbs, which is 40x faster than some were previously used to.”
For further information on Quickline’s services you can call 01482 247365 or you can head over to www.quickline.co.uk.
